The Embassy of India in Israel presents, for the first time ever, an exhibition on Indian Saris - "Sari - Timeless Tradition". Showcasing an exclusive collection of saris including ornate Benares brocades, splendid southern Kanjivarams, riotously colourful bandhinis, intricately woven geometrical patterns of ikat and pochampally, and story-telling Balucharis. During the exhibition, there are explanations about different types of Saris, workshops/demonstrations on how to wear a sari. The visitors of the exhibition also have the opportunity to click a photo wearing a beautiful Sari. The exhibition, curated by Doron Polak, also includes art works from Indian and Israeli artists who are inspired by the Sari.
